{"id":1087,"date":"2014-05-24T21:25:48","date_gmt":"2014-05-24T21:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerytoday.com\/education\/?p=1087"},"modified":"2014-05-24T21:31:38","modified_gmt":"2014-05-24T21:31:38","slug":"youtube-vs-facebook-video-sound-quality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surgerytoday.com\/education\/youtube-vs-facebook-video-sound-quality\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube vs. FaceBook Video Sound Quality"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Piano as surgical dexterity practice<\/h2>\n<p>As part of my daily surgical dexterity practice, I play the piano. \u00a0But I also need feedback by self-assessing my technique by making videos. \u00a0Most importantly the sound created with my fingers, arms, and body is important. \u00a0I do load the videos up onto the internet at times to get feedback from others. \u00a0I would say that there are plenty of experts out there on the internet who know a lot more about piano playing than I do. \u00a0But part of my goals is to have my dexterity improve for my cosmetic surgical practice where <a title=\"Botox\" href=\"https:\/\/surgerytoday.com\/modesto-botox\/\">I inject Botox<\/a>, Fillers, Veins and <a title=\"Acupuncture\" href=\"https:\/\/surgerytoday.com\/acupuncture\/index.htm\">I perform Acupuncture<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<p>Two social sharing platforms are <a title=\"Surgical Artistry FaceBook\" href=\"https:\/\/surgerytoday.com\/education\/surgical-artistry-facebook-modesto-plastic-surgery\/\">FaceBook <\/a>and YouTube. \u00a0I had to compare to see which one had better sound quality. \u00a0In the end I think the sound quality goes with the video quality. \u00a0YouTube won out in my opinion. \u00a0But both platforms do change the volume and degrade the quality of the original file which was taken as a quicktime move with a Canon 60D camera which I got from Costco about a year ago.<\/p>\n<h3>Head to head comparison: YouTube vs. FaceBook<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #4e5665;\" data-reactid=\".p.1:3:1:$comment10152453193389650_10152453301759650:0.0.$right.0.$left.0.0.0:$comment-body.0.$text0:0:$0:0\">My initial conclusions are that YouTube&#8217;s sound quality degrades less than FaceBook&#8217;s. YouTube has a tendency to lower my volume and FaceBook does the opposite &#8211; it raises the volume (when compared to the original quicktime file sitting on my hard-drive).
